:33 < so, are you tired of having an endless backlog of retro and modern vidyagaems that you know you will nevfur, evfur finish? Are you tired of constantly shifting through rom after rom, struggling to find anything worth your time? do you simply want to get into retro gaming, but don't know where to start, or, are you like me, tired of wasting your money on shit you don't like and modern gaming scams, and just want one, final, definitive list to spend the rest of time with? well, you are very lucky coming here! because i have the purrfect list just for you!!! :33!!!1
:33 < this library is my own purrsonal library. And in my opinion, is the best, most essential library crafted (totally unbiased). I guarantee every gamer will enjoy at least a section of this selection. And hopefully, it is able to fill your cravepit and end your never-ending quest of blowing money and storage on games you'll never, ever, play.
:33 < this collection is geared around emulation. So super-modern games will not be added. This list also aims for as much variety as possible, so only one game from each series (aside from Final Fantasy) is allowed in the list. Finally, this list is ordered by console, not by best-to-worst or etc.
:33 < i do believe anything regarded as "abandonware" should be made free, which is currently everything between Gen 1 to Gen 7, as well as Gen 8's handhelds. This is because companies no longer profit off of the original versions of these games, instead making Remastered or Remake versions which are, 90% of the time, inferior product. Thus, if no one is making money off of and/or selling these old games, in their original format on their original hardware, it is not harming anyone to emulate the game, as you cannot steal an item from a store that isn't in there.
:33 < meowever, any games exclusive to home consoles from Gen8 (WiiU, PS4, XB1), Gen9 (Switch, PS5, XBS), or GenX (Switch 2) will not be added, as they are still being sold and companies are still profiting from them, and thus, it is truly stealing, and thus illegal. These games are not abandonware yet, they are still in circulation, and thus I recommend that if you wish to play them, to buy them. Besides, current emulation for all of the above suck mean dick.
:33 < tl;dr,
You should have to pay $59.99 for modern masterpieces like Lies of P. Buy them.
You should not have to pay for NES games that are withering away. Do whatever with them.
:33 < (P.S.: buying reproduction carts from 3rd party sellers is just as illegal, if not leagues more illegal, than just pirating the games for free, according to US and JP copyright law. so dying on that hill is embarrassing and makes you look dumb. :33. it is also against many companies terms of service, including Nintendo's, to sell and buy games second-hand on eBay or other similar mediums. It is also illegal, in Japan, to sell Japanese games to other markets. so, seriously, wasting money to buy retro games is genuinely pointless and it is not more moral, efficient, or even legal. there is no goddamn reason to pay for games on dying, decaying hardware. just download them.)
:33 < (P.S.S.: for legal reasons, I totally don't and definitely would never condone piracy under any circumstances and the above statements, except for those promoting glorious capitalism, are obviously all jokes, smiley face.)
:33 < each game has a link, click them to see my full review and opinion on each title.
:33 < want even more, fur some reason? well that ruins the purrpose of the list, but, whatevfur. s33 my "Top 1000 Games Evfur" list and then s33 if you really n33d more than that.
